Creativity and curiosity are my greatest strengths. I have always been one to “think outside the box,” as they say, and prefer to approach a problem from many angles and explore different solutions. Very accustomed to diligent work, performing a variety of tasks and managing time in order to meet deadlines.
More than ten years Mac experience, primarily in graphic design, page layout, and web design; very proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, QuarkXpress, and various other software including digital audio and video. Experience with web design using Dreamweaver/HTML/CSS, Flash, and Photoshop/ImageReady. Working knowledge of Windows/PC systems, and extensive knowledge of all Mac operating systems through Tiger.
My background is in painting and fine art. Additionally, as a writer with an English degree and a background in Communication Arts, I can communicate ideas in words as well as images, and have customer service experience both in person and via telephone.

Position: Digital Photo Retoucher
Job description: Retouch scanned images using Photoshop and Silicon Graphics Repri software, and Kodak’s KPARS software. Retouching included removing acne, wrinkles, shine, eyebags, glass glare, and braces on portraits; swapping eyes/heads, adding/removing individuals to/from group shots, removing dust and scratches, repairing negative damage or restoring old photos, and other miscellaneous requests. Used both Mac's and PC's and Wacom graphics tablets.

Position: Copy Editor/Graphic Designer
Job description: Laid out either the National or Regional section of a daily newspaper using Quark Xpress. Chose and downloaded photographs from the Associated Press wire and performed pre-press work in Photoshop. Placed and edited stories and proofread pages before sending them to film. Designed graphics to accompany stories, as well as new weather graphics for the front of the paper and regional locator maps, using Photoshop, Illustrator, and Freehand. Also designed the covers for two issues of "Hometown," an annual local feature publication.
